Change a transaction price

Basic Transactions

Changing the transaction price can be used to price match with a competitor, match the transaction price to the shelf ticket price, or match catalogue and promotional pricing in the store.

The Cashier must have security permissions enabled to allow the changing of transaction prices. If Fred NXT POS does not allow the transaction price to be changed, the Cashier should consult an Administrator user.

Change a transaction price

  1. On the Transaction screen, tap to select the product you wish to change the transaction price for.
  2. Tap the Override Price tile.
  3. Enter the new transaction price and tap OK.

    (Optional) Enter a reason for the price change - if required.

    The new price is displayed with the message The price has been overridden. The original price was $x.xx displayed below.

    This is a temporary price change applicable to this transaction only. The Retail Price in the Product Inventory remains unchanged.

  4. Complete the sale.

    You may wish to discuss this product with your Inventory Controller to ensure the pricing of the product is permanently corrected for future transactions.
