Discounts
You can discount a single item or an entire transaction by percentage (%) or dollar amount ($). Any product marked as Not Discountable will not have a discount applied.
Depending on you store settings, there may be a maximum discount percentage allowed. If the discount percentage entered exceeds the limit, a warning message is displayed and the discount is not applied.
Discount a single product by percentageDiscount a single product by a percentage (%)
- Select the product to be discounted.
- Tap the Discounts tile.
- Tap the Line Discount % tile.
- Enter a discount percentage.
The product is displayed at the discounted price. An additional line below the product shows the discount amount as a percentage and the actual dollar amount.
- Complete the transaction.
Discount a single transaction by a dollar amount ($)
- Select the product to be discounted
- Tap the Discounts tile.
- Tap the Line Discount Amount tile.
- Enter a discount amount (in dollars and cents).
The product is displayed at the discounted price. An additional line below the product showing the discount amount as both a percentage and the actual dollar amount.
- Complete the transaction.
