Split tender transactions

Basic Transactions

A split tender transaction is used when a payment is made up of multiple tender types such as cash, EFTPOS or credit card.

Process a split tender transaction

  1. Log on to Fred NXT POS using your preferred method.
  2. Scan or select the products to be purchased.
  3. To tender the transaction with a split tender, tap the Pay Cash tender tile.

    The Tender window is displayed.

  4. Enter the payment amount the customer wishes to pay with cash and tap OK.
  5. Tap the Pay Card tender tile.
  6. Enter the payment amount the customer wishes to pay with a card and tap OK.

    — or —

    Tap the Pay Now tile to complete the card transaction for the exact payment value remaining.

  7. If requested by the customer, enter any additional cash out amounts, then tap OK.

    The cash out tender window is an optional configuration that may not apply to all stores. For further information, contact Fred Support.

    The card tender amount is sent to the integrated EFTPOS terminal.
