New in Fred Dispense Plus

MedView Flow embedded in Fred Dispense Plus

MedView Flow is now embedded in Fred Dispense Plus, and displays queued scripts sorted by collection time. All the options selected at the Scripts In counter, such as Brand and Delivery, also display in the embedded ePrescribing Queue. Scripts in the Queue are visible to all users on all Dispense terminals. When a script is selected for dispensing, it is visible on the terminal where it is active for dispensing.

Scanning tokens in Fred Dispense Plus

Electronic prescription tokens can now be scanned directly into Fred Dispense Plus. When a token is scanned into Fred Dispense Plus, a basket will automatically be created in MedView Flow and moved to the checking section after completing the script.

Drug Reports - Drug Usage Since Last Report

A new Drug Usage Since Last Report has been added to the Drug Reports screen (or <ALT + S>).

When this report is selected, the report Date Range filters are disabled. The From date is automatically selected as the last date this report was generated and the To date is set to today.

When generating this report for the first time, the Date interval is set to Yesterday - Today.

This report displays all the scripts displayed within the date range, ordered alphabetically by Drug Name for all patients. A Date and Time stamp are included in the reported header to clearly identify the interval for this report. As script data is updated in real time, this report several more than one in the same day.

Dispense Options - Labels options

Additional label options have been added to Dispense Options:

  • Full Cost on the label

    By default, the Full Cost is printed on the main label.

    • If the option is set to No, the Full cost is excluded from the label.

    • If the option is set to Yes, the Full Cost is printed on label.

  • Enquire when printing multiple labels

    This option controls when the Multi-pack prompt is displayed.

    Label options Description
    No - Print 1 label The Multi-pack prompt is not displayed and a single label prints immediately.
    No - Print number of packs dispensed The Multi-pack prompt is not displayed and multiple print immediately.
    Yes - Default to 1 label The Multi-pack prompt is displayed and defaults to one label.
    Yes - Default to number of packs dispensed (Default) The Multi-pack prompt is displayed and defaults to the number of packs dispensed.
  • Print price on main label

    Label options Description
    Always Always print the price on the label.
    Always, except Private Print all patient prices except if the script type is Private or S3
    Claimable only Print the patient price only when the script is claimable
    Never Never print the price on the label.

Fixed in Fred Dispense Plus

Pack Labels - Re-design

In order to resolve printing issues affecting pack labels migrated from other dispensing solutions, the Pack Label dialog has been re-designed: Patient Search has been removed and the number of lines allowed has been extended to 6 lines.

History pane - Multi-item scripts display

When dispensing a multi-item script, the History pane display is now refreshed, as expected.

AppBar - Credentials

A number of sites have reported issues with AppBar credentials no being retained after logging in. This issue has now been resolved.
