Post Conversion Tasks

If you have moved from an existing POS system to Fred Office Plus rather than from a blank database, perform these tasks as soon as your installation is complete.

Check all items scan at the POS till.

Add an alias to item stockcard

Create new items using Create Item Wizard or Item Manager

Ensure items matched to AppCAT.

Match via item stockcard > Links > AppCAT

Bulk AppCAT Matching Wizard (via Tools menu, Items)

Apply AppCAT Changes

Enter Promotions that were current prior to conversion

Wholesaler Promotion Files available on the Fred Help Centre

Set services or nonprofit items to be Non-Inventory / Not Discountable

Bulk via Quick Action Wizard

ORDERING TASKS

Resolve Open Orders

Ordering > Open Orders

Right-click > Receive Invoice

Right-click > Close Order

Review supplier set up in system

Contacts > Suppliers

Update via supplier card (set supplier type, match to AppCAT, rename etc)

Create a new supplier (add to items in bulk via Quick Action Wizard if required).

ACCOUNT TASKS

Set up account groups

Assistants > Groups

Add to Group by right-click Add to Group function

Manage via Assistants > Groups

REPORTING TASKS

Set up favourite reports to assist ongoing data maintenance

View existing scheduled reports via Reporting Dashboard

Create a User Report

Share a Report

Schedule a User Report to automatically email
