Patient Maintenance

The Patient Details Mismatch warning will alert you when there is a mismatch between patient details contained in the selected Fred patient and the patient details contained in the eRx script record.

Patient Mismatch Triggers

The Patient Details Mismatch warning will display when any of the following scenarios are identified:

  • Surname in Fred Dispense Plus is different to the eRx prescription.

  • First name in Fred Dispense Plus is different to the eRx prescription.

  • Date of Birth in Fred Dispense Plus is different to the eRx prescription.

  • Gender in Fred Dispense Plus is different to the eRx prescription.

    Medicare Number in Fred Dispense Plus is different to the eRx prescription.

    The Medicare Number is the Medicare stem (1st 9 digits) + Individual Reference Number or IRN (11th digit).

  • DVA Number in Fred Dispense Plus is different to the eRx prescription.

  • Safety Net in Fred Dispense Plus is different to the eRx prescription.

  • ePrescription Preference in Fred Dispense Plus is different to the eRx prescription (only for electronic prescriptions).

  • Concession Card in Fred Dispense Plus is different to the eRx prescription (Optional trigger described below).

  • Street Address in Fred Dispense Plus is different to the eRx prescription (Optional trigger described below).

This warning will display automatically ONLY when there is a mismatch. Alternatively, you can open the Patient Details Mismatch screen by pressing <CTRL + ALT + M>.

Optional Triggers

  • From Setup > Dispense Options, you can configure Concession Details and Street address as additional patient detail mismatch triggers.

Resolve Patient Details Mismatch warnings

From the Patient Details Mismatch screen, select one the following options:

Options Description
Continue without Updating Patient

You have decided that the patient you have selected and the information stored for this patient in Fred Dispense Plus is correct (and by extension, the information contained within the eRx prescription record is incorrect).

You are choosing to disregard the information from eRx and continue with this patient details as they are recorded in Fred Dispense Plus.

Disregarding the patient details provided in this warning from could result in potential incorrect patient selection. As always please refer to the original prescription or duplicate from the doctor to ensure accurate patient details are maintained

Update Patient with Selected Values
  1. Select the relevant options for the eRx patient details.

    You can use the mouse, or the arrow keys or the space bar to make your selection. Selected options will be automatically copied to the patient record in Fred Dispense Plus record.

  2. Select Update Patient with Selected Values.

If there are multiple discrepancies and you only select one for updating, to update, the mismatch screen may display again when you save.

Cancel Exit the Patient Details Mismatch screen and return you to the Main Dispense s creen.
