Other Transaction Tasks

A product comment (or item comment) may be useful to record the product details when using a miscellaneous product for the sale. A transaction comment can be used to record a note or message for this transaction. Both product comments and transaction comments print on the transaction receipt.

Add a comment to a product

  1. Log on to Fred NXT POS using your preferred method.
  2. Scan or select the product(s) to be sold.
  3. Tap to select the product you wish to add the product comment to.
  4. Tap the Edit Trans tile.
  5. Tap the Item Comment tile.
  6. In the Item Comment screen, enter the product comment and tap OK.

    The Item Comment has been added to the product and is displayed below the product description in the Transaction screen.

  7. Continue with the transaction as per normal process.

Add a comment to a transaction

  1. Log on to Fred NXT POS using your preferred method.
  2. Tap the Edit Trans tile.
  3. Tap the Transaction Comment tile.
  4. In the Transaction Comment screen, enter the transaction comment and tap OK.

    The transaction comment has been added to the transaction and Fred NXT POS returns to the main transaction screen.

  5. Continue with the transaction as per normal process.
