DIEF Templates for Products

Products

Fred provides you a range of import templates for use with the Data Import/Export Framework (DIEF). These templates are in .csv format (the format required for import), and include both default/system required fields and files for you to add/update (highlighted in yellow). Where applicable each template will include an examples, to help you with additions. These should be overwritten or removed before importing the .csv file into DIEF.

Important Product Import template fields

Field Options
ItemType Item or ServiceItem
InventTableModulePurch_unitID

The pack size of the item.

  • EA (for each)
  • Any size from Pack2 - Pack250
  • InventTableModulePurch_TaxItemGroupId
  • InventTableModuleSales_TaxItemGroupId
 These two fields work together – purchase tax (GST or FREE) and sales tax (GST or FREE).
CustVendExternalItem_ExternalItemID Primary Vendor Reorder Code
CustVendExternalItem_CustVendRelation

Vendor ID number

Located in Inventory and purchasing > All vendors > Vendor account column.
ReqGroupID Coverage Group
ItemGroup ID OTC or Ethical
FredEcoResCategory_Name Category Name of the Retail Hierarchy the product should belong to.
FredManagedProduct Yes or No

This field is used to find and match the item.
UnitID

The pack size of the item.

Cost of the UnitID

For example: A pack of 6 costs $6.00 is entered as follows:

  • Amount = $6
FredItemDescription Item description
FredItemBarcode Item barcode to add to the item
FredExternalItemID Vendor reorder code to add to the item
