Adjustment Journals (DIEF)
Inventory and Purchasing
Adjustment journals are used to record changes to both the stock on hand and inventory cost price for products that have been damaged stock, received as bonus stock or need to be returned to the vendor for a specific reason.
- Open the required template: GroupsInventoryAdjustments.csv
- Edit the spreadsheet as follows:
Header Description JournalNameId Mandatory
Use the name of the journal.
For example, SOH.
Description Leave blank TransactionDate Site Store ID Warehouse Store ID ItemId Qty CostPrice - Click File > Save as and save as .csv file in an easy to find location. For example, your Desktop.
- Click File > Exit to close your file.
The file must be checked before being imported in Fred NXT Head Office.
- Navigate to the file, then right-click the file and choose to Open with Notepad.
Remove any blank lines at the end or spaced commas at the end of the file.
- Press File > Save.
The file is now ready for importing into Fred NXT Head Office with DIEF.
Use this procedure to adjust the stock-on-hand of products in bulk.
- On the FredNXT Head Office area page, navigate to Data Synchronisation > Data Import Export Framework.
- Click Processing Group.
The Processing group window is displayed.
- Click to select GroupsInventoryAdjustments, then click Get staging data.
The Create a job ID for the staging data job prompt is displayed.
- Enter a Description, if required, and click OK.
The Staging data execution window is displayed.
- In the Entity Details section, click , then select the path to the file you want to import.
The file is brought into the staging area.
- To view details about the file, click Preview, then click Details.
- Click , then browse for and select the .CSV file to be imported.
- Click Run, then OK in the Staging window, then Close.
- (Optional) Select Batch mode, then click OK.
This mode allows you to do other work while the import is processed.
If no selection is made, the import runs in Client mode. It remains displayed on screen.
- Close when successful.
- In the Processing Group window, click Execution History.
- Click to select the required job.
- Click View Staging Data, then Target.
- Click Validate, then Post.
The store's stock-on-hand is not updated until you post the adjustment journal in Fred NXT Head Office.
