PBS Claiming to Change - Get Ready
From 13 March 2022, Services Australia are changing the way that PBS Online claims are transmitted. You’ll need PRODA to access PBS Online in order to continue lodging PBS Online claims. For more information on PBS Web Services, visit Services Australia or the Pharmacy Guild .
Fred Dispense and Fred Connect have been updated to work with the new method of transmission.
You'll also need to carry out some steps to get ready.

NASH Certificates will be expiring soon
Services Australia (Medicare) have set 13 March 2022 as the expiry date for NASH certificates that are used in pharmacy today.
You'll need to:

Download your new NASH Certificate from the Services Australia HPOS section of PRODA and save in either:

Downloads folder on your in Fred Connect PC

Fred Main PC at C:\FredHealth\NuSysLib\Certificates\Downloads

Email helpdesk@fred.com.au to confirm your certificate is available. We will schedule a technician to assist with completing the next steps.
The NASH certificate is required to ensure HI Services, MySL and MyHR continue to be operational.
Fred Help Christmas and New Year Hours
Fred Help will be available on 1300 731 888 during Christmas and New Year.
We suggest that you print out this calendar and display it prominently in your dispensary during the festive season. This will ensure that all of your staff are aware of the hours they can contact us, should they require support.

Ensure patients can find your pharmacy in MedView Patient Connect
MedView Patient Connect enables patients to fast send ePrescriptions from their token and directly into your dispensary queue.
Patients can locate a pharmacy by entering a postcode, suburb or selecting Near me. Ensure your pharmacy address and GPS Coordinates are accurately recorded in MedView Flow so your pharmacy can be found.

For Highly Specialised Drugs (HSD) items (CAR and non-CAR), please refer to the Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits as well as Services Australia to confirm whether the PBS item code for a HSD is eligible to be dispensed and claimed by your pharmacy type.
