FREE Webinar - Wed 14th October – Beyond the Token

See MySL in action and hear from our industry experts on the next steps for ePrescriptions
Hosted by: Paul Naismith - Founder and CEO, Fred IT Group
Guest Speaker: Andrew Matthews - Director of Medicines Safety Program, Australian Digital Health Agency
My Script List (MySL) is a list of a patient’s current active prescriptions (an Active Script List or ASL). With patient consent, MySL provides a consolidated view of both electronic and paper-legal prescriptions in eRx. MySL enables a better medication management experience for the patient, as well as their prescribers and pharmacies. Join our webinar to hear more on the following:
- Lessons learnt during Fred’s ePrescription journey to date with the token model and Communities of Interest (COI)
- Introduction to MySL
- Demonstrations of MySL in Pharmacy
- Live Questions and Answers Panel

ePrescribing Help
Looking for help with ePrescribing? Take a look at the Electronic Prescriptions section of this help site to assist you with your ePrescribing queries. Below are some of the topics:
Pharmacist Setup for ePrescribing
All pharmacists that dispense ePrescriptions need to be set up in Fred Dispense.
- If you already have Security Administration set up or if some pharmacists have already started dispensing ePrescriptions and you need to add another pharmacist, then see Set up pharmacist user permissions.
- If your Security Administration has not yet been set up, then see Activate ePrescribing - Security Administration has NOT been set up.
Cyber security: You’re only as strong as your weakest link
Cyber security has become an important area of compliance for pharmacy, with legal responsibilities to reduce the risks and notify of data breaches. Fred’s National Sales Manager, David Kerr discusses where these vulnerabilities could be in your pharmacy.

Revised opioids PBS listings from 1 October 2020
Commencing 1 October 2020, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) listings for opioid medicines will change.
For more information, see PBS News .
This Month's PBS Changes
For the full Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits, go to the PBS website at http://www.pbs.gov.au/ where you can search the schedule by drug name.
For your convenience, we've also uploaded a printable summary of this month's important PBS changes to this site:
Please note that the Government provides this information under embargo to Fred IT Group to enable next month’s PBS changes to be incorporated into your drug file. We have provided this information in this newsletter to prepare you for the changes, maximising patient availability/access and enabling you to adjust your stock accordingly. A condition of the embargo and in the interests of the quality use of medicines is that the information must not be released to the public or otherwise distributed prior to 1 October 2020.
For Highly Specialised Drugs (HSD) items (CAR and non-CAR), please refer to the Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits as well as Services Australia to confirm whether the PBS item code for a HSD is eligible to be dispensed and claimed by your pharmacy type.
