Change My Health Record Consent for Script Items
If a patient has a My Health Record, by default they provide standing consent for their prescription and dispense records to be sent to their My Health Record. However, patients can request for a particular script, or particular items on a script, to not be sent to their My Health Record. It is the responsibility of the dispensing pharmacist to comply with this request.
You must Validate your HPI-I with the My Health Record System in Fred Dispense before you can send dispense records to a patient’s My Health Record.
- On the Dispensing screen, when you reach the Drug or Repeat No field, the My HR? indicator is displayed at the top right of the field.
- By default, this indicator is set to Yes. To switch the consent status of the item between Yes and No, press [Alt+E].
If the patient does not have an advertised My Health Record, the indicator is blank.
If you have not validated your HPI-I in Fred Dispense at this pharmacy, you cannot change an item’s consent status. For details, see Validate your HPI-I with the My Health Record System
Once a script has been finalised, its consent status cannot be changed. If you edit the script, you will not be able to change the consent status of its items.
