Validate your HPI-I with the My Health Record System

Before you can contribute dispense records to your patients’ My Health Record, you must verify your HPI-I Healthcare Provider Identifier-Individual. A unique identifier issued by Medicare Australia to every individual healthcare provider in Australia.. This needs to be done once per pharmacist per pharmacy.

1. On the Pharmacist Details window, look up your record.
2. Enter or search for your AHPRA Number.
3. Click the Search button next to the HPI-I field.
   
   Your surname and AHPRA Number are used to search against the Healthcare Identifier Service.
   
   

4. Your HPI-I is now displayed on the Pharmacist Details window along with the status (Active, Retired, or Deactivated).

   

5. Click Save.
