Import Drug Specifics

Import Drug Specifics is used to import specific information about medications where an export file has been created and shared by another party. The other party can include a pharmacy, pharmacy group head office or generics manufacturer.

1. From the Activities menu, select Drug Management, then select Import Drug Specifics (or press [Alt+A] then [G] then [I].
2. Browse for the drug export file you want to import.

   By default, the location will appear as the local Fred folder but this location can be changed to suit.

3. Highlight the export file, then click Open.

   

4. When prompted Do you wish to import this file?, click Yes.

   

   The previously entered export file description is also visible.

5. Select the Stock Group and the Drug Specifics to import.

   This example shows the Private price for items in Stock Group 1.

   

6. Click Update Local Drugs.

   A report displays the drugs that have been updated.

   

7. When you are notified that the drug export file has been imported successfully, click OK.

   

8. If there is no new information to import, the following message is displayed.
