Release Notes
New in Fred Dispense Plus
Fred Dispense Plus automatically applies both software and drug updates. No user intervention is required, but please ensure that your server PC is always switched on as automatic updates are applied outside of business hours.

Co-Payment Discount Rules
Co-Payment Discount Rules can now be configured at both the patient and pharmacy level.
Patient level rules are more specific than pharmacy level rules. A pharmacy level rule will only be applied when the patient setting = Default.
A patient level discount is configured from the F8 Patient Maintenance screen.
The options available are:

Apply discount of: Allows a discount value of between $0 and $1 to be entered for this patient. Ignores any applicable pharmacy level rules.

Do not discount: Flags the patient so they will not get a discount. Ignores any applicable pharmacy level rules.

Max discount: The patient will receive the max discount (currently $1). Ignores any applicable pharmacy level rules.

Default: There is no patient specific setting for this patient and any applicable pharmacy level discount rules will apply
Configure Discount rules from Administration > Pricing Settings > Co-Payment Discount.
Each rule requires a name, action and criteria.
The available Actions are:

Block Discount

Apply Max Discount
The available Criteria are:

For all scripts

Patient type is (Concession, Repat, General, CTG)

Patient facility is (select one or more facilities)

Search in AppBar web pages
You can search within AppBar web pages by pressing Ctrl + F. This can be useful when viewing sites with lots of information e.g. AusDI or MIMS.

Private drugs display in blue text
Private drug listings will now display in blue text to help distinguish between PBS and non-PBS entries.

Real Time Prescription Monitoring prompts
Two additional scenarios will now prompt for additional information for Real Time Prescription Monitoring:

A Blank DD dispense

An extemporaneous dispense where the Apply DD Fee check box has been selected
Address/Delivery Labels
The following now print on the Address/Delivery:

In addition, Patient Phone Number can be set to always print on the Address/delivery label

Dispense Option - Patient price on first label only
A new Dispense Option has been added that enables users to select to print the Patient price on the first label only, when multiple labels are printed for a single dispensing.

Dispense Option - All terminals on Wait screen
A new Dispense option has been added that enables users to specify the appearance of the Wait Screen for all Dispense Plus terminals in the Pharmacy. The ‘This Terminal Only’ filter can be turned off by default, enabling the display of all terminals.

Dispense Option - Disable Medicare Expiry notification
A new Dispense Option has been added to enable Pharmacies to specify the number of days to be notified in Dispense Plus prior to a Medicare Card expiring. By default, this is set to 30. You can set it to zero to never be notified.

Directions - ZZ no longer prints on Label or Repeat
When ‘zz’ has been added to the end of the Directions field to prevent the script from being sent to POS, the ‘zz’ is no longer printed in the Directions on the Label or Repeat. (This applies to non Fred NXT Office pharmacies).

Autocharged - asterisk prints on multiple labels
When a script has been autocharged to a Patient Account and multiple labels are required, the autocharge asterisk will now print on subsequent labels as well.

Owing Mark Off - CTG Status
CTG status is maintained when marking off an owing script.

Owing Mark Off - MedView Flow queue
Marking off an owing script via the MVF queue will now update the basket status.
Dispensing - Deferred Script SN20DR
Fixed the SN20DR handling when dispensing a deferred script.
Dispensing - ePrescription image display
Fixed display issues for large repeat numbers and phone approval numbers in the eScript display.

Dispensing - Duplicate Script Date prompt
Resolved an issue whereby users could receive a duplicate ‘script date’ prompt.
Dispensing - Chemotherapy Scripts
Fixed an issue where the default chemotherapy compounder wasn’t automatically populated when dispensing a chemotherapy script.
Robot Dispensing - reconstituted syrups
Reconstituted syrups can now be accepted into robotic machines.
Reports - Drug Usage and Monthly Drug Usage
Performance improvements have been made to the Drug Usage and Monthly Drug usage reports.
Reports - List of Scripts performance
Performance improvements have been made to the List of Scripts report.

Reports - Patient details on List of Scripts
The List of Scripts report now displays the Patient Medicare card number, Concession card number and/or Repat card number from Patient details.
PBS Claiming - cancel request
Fixed an issue where PBS Claim cancel request was sometimes resulting in a ‘Non-Transmitted’ error.
Accounts - Linking Patients issue
Fixed an unusual issue when linking patients to existing accounts (Fred NXT Office pharmacies only).
