Fixed priced items

The Fixed Price option is a feature for assisting users in maintaining control of item Retail prices, whether it be for compliance in a group or for competitive pricing.  Any item can be marked as Fixed Price. When an item is set as fixed price, users are restricted from changing the retail price. Users with appropriate permissions can lock or unlock the item in the item card if they need to alter the price or remove the Fixed Price setting.

Additionally, Fixed Price items will also be prevented from price changes via Pricing Review, Pricing Plans, Ad-hoc Pricing and Quick Action price changes.  Fixed Price setting can be found and set via the Pricing tab of the item card as well as via a Quick Action.

To assist users in determine which items are fixed, a padlock symbol is made visible in the Inventory search screen when an item is marked as fixed price.

When would I use it?

• Fix an item price to prevent automatic changes.
• Remove an item from fixed price.
