Troubleshoot scripts not appearing at POS Till
Scripts travel from Fred Dispense to Fred Office Plus via Fred Connect. Once they arrive inside Fred Office Plus, they can be seen in the Activity > Scripts section. From here, the Fred Office Plus Services process them (based on the Script rules set up at installation) and then send them onto the POS or charge them to accounts. Additionally, QuickPad, Account details and Item information (SOH, Cost prices) are in Fred Dispense, because Web Services are accessed via Fred Connect.
- Check the Scripts have arrived from Fred Dispense.
- Open Fred Office Plus, then click Activity.
- Restart Fred Office Plus Services (described below).
- Select Scripts, then Today.
- Scroll to the approximate time the script(s) were dispensed.
- If the scripts have not arrived, see Restart Fred Connect(described below).
- If the scripts have arrived, check also at the POS Tills.
- If the scripts have not arrived, check that network cables are connected or contact Access helpdesk support via your Fred Help Portal.
If you cannot log into Fred Office Plus, the Fred Office Plus Services need to be restarted.
- Go to your main dispensary computer.
- Check if the Fred Connect icon is displayed in the task bar (bottom right of the screen).
- Double-click and select Stop.
- Right-click your task bar and select Task Manager.
- Click Processes.
- Locate and select CS.exe.
- Click End Process.
- Double click the Fred Connect icon on your desktop to restart the program.
- Open Fred Office Plus and select Activity > Scripts.
- Select Today and scroll down to current time and check if the scripts have now arrived.
- If they have not arrived, contact Access helpdesk support via your Fred Help Portal.
- If they have arrived Check at the POS Tills to see if scripts have arrived.
- If the scripts have arrived, check also at the POS Tills.
- If the scripts have not arrived, check that network cables are connected or contact Access helpdesk support via your Fred Help Portal.
If the icon disappears when you try to right-click it, you will need to use Task Manager to forcibly stop “CS.exe” as follows;
The Fred Connect icon is displayed in the bottom right of screen once more. The icon colour will change from red to blue when it is ready.
Now that Fred Connect has been restarted we need to check that the scripts are now reaching Fred Office Plus.

- Go to your main Fred Office Plus computer.
- Right-click My Computer and select Manage.
- Double-click Services and Applications, then select Services.
- Select Fred Office Services and click Start.
- Open Fred Office Plus and go to Activity > Scripts.
- Click Today and scroll down to current time and check if the scripts have now arrived.
- If they have not arrived, Restart Fred Connect (described above).
- If they have arrived, check also at the POS Tills .
- If the scripts have not arrived, check that network cables are connected or contact Access helpdesk support via your Fred Help Portal.
If you have an SBS (small business server), call Access helpdesk support via your Fred Help Portal
