Consent

This field records whether the Patient has given consent for their Medicare Details to be permanently stored in Fred Dispense. The options are:

• Y Yes
• N No
• B This Batch of Scripts only
• S Special Medicare Number

The Special Medicare Number is used for emergency cases. See below for a list of reasons.

If Y is selected, the following two additional fields display:

• Card Firstname - The Patient’s first name as it appears on their Medicare Card. E.g. a patient has William printed on all their documentation, but is generally known as Bill. You can enter Bill as a first name and William as the Card first name.

• Card Surname - The Patient’s surname as it appears on their Medicare Card.
