January 2018: Correct the Previous General Contribution Fee

10 January 2018: It has been identified that the Previous Fees section currently contains an incorrect General Contribution value. Last year’s General Contribution should be $38.80, but is currently set to $38.30.

This impacts General Claimable category scripts dispensed in 2017 only if they are edited in 2018, resulting in the patient contribution being reduced by 50 cents (There is no impact on scripts dispensed in 2018, nor on scripts dispensed in 2017 that are not edited this year). To prevent unintended re-pricing, please follow the instructions here to correct the value as soon as possible.

1. From the Setup menu, select NHS Fees.

   

   The NHS Fees and Markup window is displayed.

   

2. Click Previous Fees.

3. Change the General Contribution BEFORE field to $38.80, then click Save.

   

4. Click Save to close the NHS Dispensing Fees and Markup window.
5. To apply the fee change, exit and restart Fred Dispense on all of your dispensing workstations.
