Daylight Savings

Daylight Savings Time begins this month. Remember to check your computer time has been adjusted forward by one hour on the following date:

ACT, NSW, SA, Tas, Vic – Sunday 2 October 2016, 2.00am (EST)

Most computers will be automatically adjusted for daylight savings time, or will prompt you to accept the new time.

Set the new time manually:

1. Double-click the digital time clock in the System tray (located in the bottom right hand corner of your desktop).
2. Advance the clock forward by one hour.

1. Open Cmd prompt and type Time, press <ENTER>.
2. Set the time forward by one hour, then Save.

A reminder to our WA, Qld and NT sites to take the extra one hour time difference in consideration when calling Fred Help Desk.

Chemotherapy Compounding Payment Scheme

The Chemotherapy Compounding Payment Scheme (CCPS) is the payment mechanism for the Chemotherapy measure arising from the Sixth Community Pharmacy Agreement (6CPA). The measure has been designed to reform remuneration arrangements for chemotherapy compounders for chemotherapy infusions prepared under the special arrangements of section 100 of the National Health Act 1953.

This measure revises the previous payment structure and implements a two-tiered fee to recognise Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)-licensed compounders.

Check your version of Fred Connect

The new Chemotherapy functionality requires version 20160901 of Fred Connect (or above).

To check you are running the correct version:

1. Locate the Fred Connect icon in your System tray, then right-click and select Show from the pop-up menu.
2. In the Fred Connect window, select the About tab.
3. Check the versions of cs.exe and PBSONLINE plugins.

In Fred Office, press [F1] to open the Fred Office help, then click Assistants > Stocktakes.

Promotions with Fred Office or NUHQ

In Fred Office, press [F1] to open the Fred Office help, then click Pricing > Promotions.

If you use Fred NUHQ, refer to Join Group, Download Promotional File & Import into Fred NUHQ on the Fred Help Centre.

MedView Medicines Workspace – Bridging the gap between acute and community care

One of the key problems facing Australian health care professionals continues to be the lack of consolidated medications information and an inability to easily share information between health professionals. When patients move between community care and hospital and aged care, the absence of good quality and up to date clinical data can contribute to these interactions becoming high risk, resulting in medication misadventures and unnecessary hospital readmissions.
