Pharmacies have experienced difficulty in downloading their claim statement data from Medicare for claim periods containing more than 7000 transaction records. Because multiple transaction records can exist for a script (for example, when scripts are edited or cancelled), limiting your claim to 4000 scripts is recommended in order to prevent you from reaching the 7000-record limit.
When 3500 scripts have been dispensed in a claim, a warning message is displayed. This message continues to be displayed each time you restart Fred Dispense, until you have finalised the claim.
A further warning message is displayed when 4000 scripts have been dispensed. The 4000-script warning message continues to be displayed each time you restart Fred Dispense, until you acknowledge it by typing YES.
When the claim limit warning message is displayed, we recommend that you finalise the current claim as soon as possible. If you cannot download your claim statement, you will need to liaise directly with Medicare for help. Fred will not be able to assist with downloading your statement.
