Flag Patients for Generic Dispensing

In pharmacy, many drugs have a less expensive generic equivalent that can be dispensed instead of the original brand a doctor has prescribed

In Fred Dispense a patient can be flagged as requesting generics only. If a drug is then dispensed which has a less expensive equivalent available, Fred Dispense will display the following prompt:

To flag an individual patient as requesting Generics Only:

1. Select the patient in Fred Dispense.

2. Press CTRL + I. The Patient - Extra Information popup displays.

   

3. Enter a Y in the Patient requests Generics Only.
4. Click OK to save the change.
5. Click OK to exit the patient details.
