Clinical Interventions
A clinical intervention is the process of identifying a drug-related problem and making a recommendation in an attempt to prevent or resolve it.
For more detailed information on pharmacists performing clinical interventions, refer to the relevant article on the PSA website.
The Clinical Intervention functionality in Fred Dispense is an alternative to the functionality provided in GuildCare. If you are currently performing Clinical Interventions in GuildCare, and want to use Fred Dispense instead, we suggest you wait until the quarter for PPI payment is complete, then start the next quarter using Fred Dispense. If you want to start using Fred Dispense right away, you should run two reports: one from GuildCare and one from Fred Dispense to obtain the relevant total(s) for the quarterly claim period.
