Create a Clinical Intervention
There are three ways to initiate a Clinical Intervention.
- Script Intervention for a known Dispense patient
- Non-script Intervention for a known Dispense patient
- Non-script Intervention for an unknown Dispense patient
Open the Clinical Intervention form
- From the Activities menu, select New Intervention Note ... (or press <ALT + I> or click in the toolbar.
Script Intervention for a known Dispense patient
A script intervention can be performed at the Wait Screen for the selected script. To open the Clinical Intervention form, use the same procedure as above.
The pharmacist has a current script selected in Fred Dispense.
By default, the Intervention is a Script Intervention and the patient is a known Dispense patient.

The Patient Name, Drug, Prescriber, etc … are already filled and cannot be edited.
- Fill in the Patient Gender and Age Range (if they are not displayed already).
- Enter your initials.
Non-script Intervention for a known Dispense patient
The pharmacist has selected a patient in Fred Dispense where a script has not been dispensed for the clinical intervention.
- Select or search for a patient.
The patient record opens.
- Fill in the Patient Gender and Age Range (if they are not displayed already).
- (Optional) Select a Drug or enter a Description as to the reason for the Intervention.
- Enter your initials.
Non-script Intervention for an unknown Dispense patient
By default, a clinical Intervention for an unlisted patient is a non-script Intervention.
- Open the Intervention form.
- Flag the patient as an Unlisted Patient.
- Fill in the Patient Name or Description.
- Fill in the Patient Gender and Age Range.
- (Optional) Select a Drug or enter a Description as to the reason for the Intervention.
- Enter your initials.
