Create a product from AppCAT

Inventory and Purchasing

Ensure that your vendor is subscribed to the AppCAT vendor catalogue, so that you can view the available products and create them at your store.

For more details about the full AppCAT process, refer to Product Management, in particular Products.

  1. Under Inventory and purchasing on the Fred NXT Head Office Dashboard, click AppCAT, then Catalogue.
  2. Click to select the relevant Vendor.
  3. From the Catalogue tab, click Subscribe.

    The AppCAT Catalogue will be downloaded the next time this batch job is configured to run. Usually, this is set to run overnight and will be available the next day.

  1. Under Inventory and Purchasing on the AX Dashboard, click AppCAT, then Products.
  2. Select the products you wish to create.

    Products without an Item Number are not yet in your system. To find a specific product or range, use CTRL+G and apply a search filter. Alternatively, tap the columns to sort the cells with empty values at the top.

  3. From the Products tab, click Create Products.
  4. Review the product information and update the details if required.

    Some details are set by default, based on your organisation's standard configurations. This can be changed as required.

  5. Click Create to create the product in Fred NXT Head Office.
