Connect your Pharmacy to the My Health Record System

This topic explains the process for connecting your Fred Dispense pharmacy to the My Health Record system.

To use the My Health Record functionality in Fred Dispense, your pharmacy must be eRx enabled. If you are not an eRx customer, you can register at https://register.erx.com.au/

Step 1: Register your pharmacy

Register your pharmacy for the My Health Record system via the Health Professional Online Services (HPOS). Refer to Accessing My Health Record via conformant software on the My Health Record website for step-by-step instructions on the registration process.

If you need help with registering your pharmacy, contact the My Health Record Help line on 1800 723 471.

When this registration process is complete, you will have the following information:

  • Your Medicare NASH certificate.
  • A PIC Code, used to unlock the NASH certificate. This is generally sent via SMS message.

You will receive an SMS when the NASH certificate is ready for download from the HPOS.

Step 2: Make an appointment to connect Fred Dispense to the My Health Record system

Once you have completed your My Health Record registration with Medicare, call Fred on 1300 731 888 to arrange a time for a help consultant to dial into your dispensary computer and configure the My Health Record functionality.

My Health Record configuration in Fred Dispense can only be performed by a Fred help consultant. If all of the required information is available and correct, the process takes about 10 minutes.
