Release Notes
New in Fred Dispense Plus
Fred Dispense Plus automatically applies both software and drug updates. No user intervention is required, but please ensure that your server PC is always switched on as automatic updates are applied outside of business hours.

ePrescriptions - Indication on dispense label
Dispense Plus now displays an ‘E’ on the main label to the right of the Repeats to indicate the prescription is an ePrescription.

ePrescriptions - Dispensing of repeats
Improvements have been made when dispensing the repeat of an electronic prescription that was last dispensed at your pharmacy. Expected extra details such as overridden patient price will now carry across.

Search - Barcodes
Barcode search is now enabled in Administration > Drugs form and Administration > Own Brand Drugs form.

Search - Fred Drug Code
Fred Drug Code search is now enabled in Administration > Drugs form.
Patients - Update new Medicare card number from PBS
If a corrected Medicare card number has been returned from PBS, an alert displays to the user when a script for that Patient is edited.

Dispense Options - Important Patient Note
A new Dispense Option has been added to enable users to choose whether pressing ‘C’ to continue through an Important Patient Note is enforced. This setting will default to Yes.

Dispense Options - Patient title on Label
A new label option has been added to Dispense Options to include/exclude patient title on dispense label.
Owing Script - Default date
The script date now defaults to today when starting an owing script.

FinalCheck - Patient demographics
Pressing F8 from the FinalCheck screen now opens the patient demographics.
Reports - List of Scripts
The List of Scripts Report has been enhanced to include the ability to report based on Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical (ATC) Classification. Find out more about ATC Classification .
This enables users to run List of Scripts reports based on:

Anatomical groups (e.g. Anti-infectives for systemic use)

Therapeutic groups (e.g. Anti-bacterials for systemic use)

Pharmacological groups (e.g. Beta-lactam antibacterials, penicillins)
-
Chemical groups (e.g. Penicillins with extended spectrum)
-
Chemical substance (e.g. Amoxicillin)
Patient - Date of Birth
When you enter a two-digit year for Birth Date on the Patient Maintenance screen, the conversion to a four-digit year has been improved to avoid converting to a date in the future.

Fixed in Fred Dispense Plus
ePrescriptions - Repeat interval warning
Fixed an issue where in some circumstances the repeat interval warning prompt wasn’t displaying for an electronic prescription.
Patients - Prescriber bag patients
Fixed an issue where the history pane was not being populated for prescriber bag patients.
Reports - New Script Required by Prescriber
The New Script Required by Prescriber report now includes the patient name and address as expected.
Reports - Script Audit
The script audit now displays the ‘Cancelled’ event as expected.
Startup - Rare connection error
Fixed a rare issue where the user received a connection error when starting Fred Dispense Plus.
